Bought a new Gas cooker for the good ship Lollypop which was duly delivered to us last week, when it was delivered I checked it over for scratches etc and happily signed for it.Re packed it and left it on the boat to be fitted.Phone call from the guy fitting it yesterday saying that the chassis was badly bent and that it was knacked. Ohmigawd!
Phoned the chandlers explaining that he reckoned it had been dropped, and they said to bring it back and they'd exchange it though they would rather not courier it.So took it back in the van today and they swapped it over.
No quibble,no tutting, brilliant seeing's though I signed for it in good condition.
Chandlers get a lot of stick so I'm happy to say Uxbridge Boat Centre are top people, and we will have a christmas dinner after all!

I have been a customer of Uxbridge Boat Centre for many years and totally agree with you.

Prices are pretty good too.

Why buy expensive chain when your legs freely available.

First rule of mail order yacht chandlers. Don't sell cookers or TV's, the proportion that arrived stuffed is very high unless they are re-packaged to export standards.
