Tool sharpening on board

I have two sets of chisels (not kept on board though). One set is precious and I don’t allow myself to mistreat them. They are easy to keep honed. The other set is abused, chipped and not for fine use. They are harder to keep sharp but not used for jobs where a sharp edge is needed.

A small diamond impregnated lap must be over 70 years old it was my great un class who was a toolmaker.

Thanks all, lots of good info and tips. I will try the tool recommended by DownWest. Not to expensive and not to bulky to keep on the boat. ordered a spare wheel as well.
