Too windy today?

I don't think you would like it AndieMaccy.....they have a very stringent speed limit! I think it's about 8 knots....... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Callum, if we can't have a bit of fun with each other, then it's probably not worth logging on. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I don't mind people "having a pop", but since I have been on these forums, there have been some very nasty comments about narrowboats, and their owners, I have to wonder why that is??? I also wonder what agenda you are following? Lighten up fella, you might enjoy the forums a bit more /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Used to spend the school summer holidays on and around Coniston Water when I was a teenager. I can remember Gondola being restored and returned to commission. More than once I've been a bit caught out in dinghies as she came up on us rather quietly and un-noticed!

I think its great some folks take on interest in restoring the old steam launches, even building new ones or replicas. The vessel owners are often thought of as 'delightfully escentric', the old craft are always of keen interest at our boat rallies. The engines and parts are always sourced from England, so there must be a fairly active steam fraternity in your country.
