Managed to fight off a couple of old pensioners and got a brown pair (size 11)
Mud will be less noticeable.
Did wander into my local chandlery......HOW MUCH !! for a pair of poncy deck shoes.
The public conception of boaters being minted is neatly confirmed.

I'm happy with my knock off poundshop Crocs. Deck shoes are a bit........80's. I didn't wear them then and I've never rolled my suit jacket sleeves up either. And I'm not going to start now
