Too Close for Comfort

Perhaps they were testing some actual ordnance just South of him and it was not the thunder clap or lightening strike he heard.

I jest.

Glad he wasn't injured.

EDIT. Just seen there was a video to click on and his house was hit and even set alight, poor chap. I don't think Bradwell has a firestation does it?

Just seen that Braintree fire service attended. That is a long drive.

It was at another Bradwell village on the outskirts of Braintree - hence my tongue-in-cheek posting above.

Ah.

Thanks.

That is good then because the damage does not look too bad (fire brigade must have got there quickly).

If the other Bradwell, - the one with a marina :) - then I don't know if such a quick response would occur.

Actually, the retained Fire team at the Tillingham Station pride themselves on their speed of turn out, and at Bradwell Power Station were always followed promptly by appliances from Burnham and Maldon.
If there was a fire at the nuclear power station I can picture the turnout being instantaneous and the fire engines heading at top speed in the opposite direction!;)

Peter.

Didn't know there was a station at Tillingham (lovely area especially if one is situated high up; spectacular views Northwards over the fields and then onto the shimmering river). Good to know. Perfect central location to head to Bradwell, to Burnham
Maldon, or anywhere betwixt. Must have been established when the country was run by sensible people (as opposed to those that now seem to be closing stations whilst more houses are built - doh !)
