Tony Riley

Will always remember Tony as man who spoke his mind and also very fondly as a bit of a curmugeon.
We enjoyed some "firm and frank" debates in the past on all sorts of things..
Tony was the man who persuaded me (via the Thames forum) to dare to first venture round to the Thames many many years ago, have more than once been extremely grateful for his help and local knowledge for getting me out of the poo on more than on occassion.
Mr & Mrs OG will be thinking of Maggie .

Sorry to hear of Tony's passing.had many a good chat with him at Windsor marina.
I am now the proud owner of his last boat, (,Broom 34, Legacy)now called Marquerite and Broads based.
Recall he was very proud of that boat indeed and may have received more attention than Maggie. :).
Fred.

Was only thinking about him last night and heard news today.

Played a key part in starting the Thames Forum.

Very sad to hear this news. He was always the voice of reason on this forum. Only met him once at Byron’s getting on for 20 years ago. We were late arrivals and everyone was in full swing, but he went out of his way to greet us.
