hey
if you think thats fun try messing with BT, tried to change a biz phone account to a residential phone account recently, took 6 weeks, morons morons and morons and the best bit was the fact that the morons know that you cant trace them, better bit was the fact that the "new" system that they are trying to implement ( i think, the first excuse was the floods!) recognises the line you are calling from so puts you thru to business, business cant change to residential, residential has to request, BUT you cant get thru to residential cause the system knows you are business!!! and final when one of the morons tries to be helpful and sneeaks you thru to residential you are on hold for 45 minutes, and then when the next moron comes on line and promises they have actioned it, you find out 2 days later they havent and then the game starts all over again!!! and then india calling raises its head
aaaargh!!
and then you call ofcom or whatever its called nowadays and moron 4 comes on all bolshie, we are light touch regulators, bt is a business and we cant tell them what to do business wise! really and what the [--word removed--] are you there for then?

That backs up my theary that TomTom have a problem with their site but they won't accept it! My TomTom licence expires next month and I'm looking elswhere. CoPilot 7 is looking good and they have just confirmed that it will work on my iPaq 6910; http://www.alk.com/copilot/default.asp

The POS is finally working, of course the chap at TomTom denied that there was anything wrong but then agreed that the hard drive needed re-formatting and sent the appropriate instructions. (Although the promise to attach his contact details for when the process crashed was of course a lie....)
Only took about an hour.
I've given it away.
I wanted to E-bay it and see how high the price might get with a truthful description, but just giving it away was easier.

Bit of a vicious circle....
You get on a bit and can't find your way about as well as you used to so you buy a Tom Tom
