Tollesbury to Dover

Hi,
I wondered what is the preferred current route to go through the shallows to get to Fishermans? Boat draws 1m.

I don't know the current route but we used to leave the Blackwater at half tide rising and then it almost didn't matter where you went and I think the tide took you round Kent. Not so easy from Tollesbury marina though.

The shortest which according to tillergirl and his CTTE is Spitway, East Barrow, SW Sunk, Fisherman's... SW Sunk swatch is quite deep (compared with Spitway) but narrow and steep too. See http://www.crossingthethamesestuary.com/page29.html

We followed that route a couple of weeks ago. Plenty of water even close to LW (neaps).

Out of "toesbry" when you can, leave the Nass about 2 Hrs before LW, LW across Spitway, Robert is your father's brother

Thnks all. Sat in Dover marina next leg Brighton.

A ship went down Black deep as we were wriggling through the shallows and the whole of the bordering sandbanks were white water. Fun!,!
