Just read the lavac manual and it states that the pump will not work effectively unless:

"Establish a position for the pump
where the pump inlet is no lower
than the bowl top."

This seems to suggest you cannot have it on the floor next to the bowl /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

As long as the the hose from the toilet outlet to your pump passes above the level of the bowl top you're fine.

Works a charm on previous and current boat - and takes up least room.
