Toilet hose trauma

I heated the hose with a hot air gun and pushed the core of the seacock into the end of the hose to expand it.

It then went on the seacock with only a gentle warming so you could exert some pressure without distorting the hose.

I heated the seacock with a hot hair dryer, the hose in some hot water, then kept the hot air blowing down the hose whilst fitting - kept the seacock end warm to stop the hose from cooling down too much.

I wonder why some bright spark has not produced an expander that heats up in the same way shoes can be wided with an expander but with out the heating element for a more than common problem
