Hello all,
My trusty old Tohatsu MFS6 A series Sail Pro is getting long in the tooth now and I'm considering replacing with a D series (also claimed to be quieter). As it will be used in a "well" located just in front of the boat's transom I need to confirm if the new model will fit in the space available. As I can only find very limited information on the Tohatsu website regarding dimensions I'm hoping that someone with this model may be able to get some measurements......
The critical dimension is from the rear face of the mounting board to the back of the cowl. I notice that there is now a rear carrying handle which projects back from the cowl - I am assuming that this is removable (by design or cutting) but would be good to get confirmation.
A slightly less critical dimension but still useful to know is that from the top of the board to the top of the cowl - as I may need to adapt/move my tiller-pilot bracket.
Thanks.
Chris.
