Does anyone have any firm info on whether this should be run on standard or premium petrol ?

Its in the owners manual (q.v.)......91 RON. Thats the minimum. Ordinary unleaded is 95
Thats if its is a MFS 9.8A
Min 90RON if its a MFS 9.8A3
But see also the advice on fuels containing ethanol etc
Is your oil still going black ?

They run fine on 95 octane, 50:1 mix.

Mine runs happily on standard unleaded, I never even considered putting anything else in it.

1. Thanks for advice. Standard it is then. Off to fill up now.
2. Finally gave in and had the engine serviced by a professional firm; I will report back on the oil colour in a couple of months, mind you they used the same oil - Quicksilver
