Folks,
Thanks for your help re. the charging. One other question - the oil pressure warning light stayed on for about 20 secs yesterday, after starting the engine for the first time in a week. Is this normal? I'd checked the oil level beforehand - that was fine. It seems to me 20 secs might be long enough to do some damage if it happens every time!

Have rung Tohatsu in Lymington - apparently 20-30 secs IS a normal amount of time for the oil pressure to build up sufficiently for the warning light to go out.
