Went to W.Wales to collect 18' speedboat, took 3 hrs to get there due to overturned trailer (i thought 'that must be your worst nightmare', the landrover was upside down)
Anyway then got lost and eventually collected boat THEN 70mph passing Camarthen the wheel bearing exploded and nearly put me upside down. Luckily i was right at the exit and even more lucky there was a secure parking compound 100yds down the road!
Anyway boat is stuck again awaiting repair.
PS. Cardiffcruiser your trailer board is fine.
Worst bit is Swmbo didn't even know i was buying it......woops.

Swmbo knows know and was totally fine about it. Anyone fancy a trip to get his other big 5 berth motorcruiser. Might need a bigger thing than Audi A4!!

5 berth cruiser ? On a trailer ? I've got a Range Rover but I think even that may struggle unless it's less than 3.5 tonnes !!

After my 'trailer incident' earlier in the year I won't ever tow a boat on a single axle trailer again.

Oh and the speed limit for towing a trailer is 50 Andy!

Not 50 when your trying to get boat back before Swmbo gets home and finding a place to hide it!!!! Lucky it is twin axle though.

I believe it's 60mph on dual carriageways, such as the A40 from St Clears to Carmarthen, the A48 from Carmarthen to Pont Abraham, and the M4...

Quite normal, for you mainland boaty types with your road duty petrol

Oh yes it is normal however, dont worry about the filling up, if you think that hurts just wait until you have had a day out and find it empty! - thats the bit that always pees me off!
