Strolling upstream of Henley along Marsh meadows this afternoon, two wonderful things:

First, I saw L'Orage the Dunkirk Little Ship, formerly owned by Raymond Baxter, restored to her former glory, now with new "custodians" who were on their way back from Dunkirk.

Second, I saw a red kite circle above the water and then dive to catch something on the surface - just like an osprey. Never seen one do that before. In fact, I think the bird missed: it certainly moved back to circling above the woods belonging to Park Place.
