I used to rurn this over fairly easily but hey ho, had to resort to a tackle. The ladder is stayed with the rope round a spike poked in the outside of the wall on the left, then made on to a middle rung. As fast as I paint, the sun cracks it up.

the green is a problem, dark enough to soak up all the heat. White or light colour next year. Not superstitious, my FV for 18 years was green, that's why i had green paint left over.
Yesterday I watched a webinar from Epifanes. The speaker said dark paint, especially black of course, can get up to 130 deg C on a hot day, whereas white may only reach 50 deg C, so will dry far too fast. Don't paint dark colours in the sun was the message, but I think you learnt that the hard way.

I don't think it was too hot when I painted, just heat drying the hull later. Ronseal ten year gloss, bit like a thick plastic skin when cured, so the cracked seams are a great help. Might strip and soak with linseed oil this winter.
