Today 11th of the 11th

I knows this belongs in the lounge but so what. I went in to a Motorway Services today in Cobham on the M25, and there was a Poppy appeal going on with a table and a load of stuff for sale on it. There was a long queue, with people patiently waiting to spend money. It struck me that despite all the moaning out there what a great country this still is. Have a great evening.

Agreed. We are all very lucky to live here, and i am very sincere about this.

In our little company we always respect the 2 minutes silence. I'm the one that goes to the fire alarm controls and sounds the alarm at 11 and again at 2 mins after. Every time it's a little like an out of body experience. Our busy company comes to complete stop when that alarm sounds, the one desire I have had for the last 15 years is not to sound the alarm at 11.02. I would just the the silence to continue. Oh god, sounds rather deeper that I thought!


And I will just add "boat" so it isn't moved to the lounge.
