@awol Different times now, with different influences in society. The 70's and 80's were the peak decades of the post war social changes that society benefited from. Then along came a new economic model, the deindustrialization of labour intensive works and all the uncertainty that brought. Personally, I think that the UK is drifting back to its norm, and that the proletariat yacht racing days was a societal outlier.
I don't think there is a solution, rickets is on its way back.
