@awol Different times now, with different influences in society. The 70's and 80's were the peak decades of the post war social changes that society benefited from. Then along came a new economic model, the deindustrialization of labour intensive works and all the uncertainty that brought. Personally, I think that the UK is drifting back to its norm, and that the proletariat yacht racing days was a societal outlier.

I don't think there is a solution, rickets is on its way back.

Can anyone say what year this was filmed? It looks great. My guess late 1960s….

It was filmed in 1968. Links to the video have been posted on the forum several times. I see that I comment before in 2014 when a link to the video, which was then hosted on the Peggy Bawn website, was posted by Dylan Winter.
