KTL is a scam

Anything that requests money by wire transfer, western union or PayPal is a scam.

quite a sweeping statement

most of my KTL income is via paypal

and I buy binoculars, boat fittings, by paypal...

I pay my Amazon by paypal

although when it comes to the vids I send them the vids and then they pay afterwards

often by paypal - although sometimes they send cash

so it must all be a scam

and I had no idea

Following advice ( from here? ) I set up a bank account specifically to handle PayPal/eBay transactions, without an overdraft facility, with the intention that would shield my main account from any 'errors and omissions' that PayPal may make. I was misinformed by the bank clerk with whom I organised this - it transpired the bank would still meet 'legitimate demands' from Paypal for payment, even if my Special Account did not have funds, then charge me for an overdraft I had specifically sought to prevent.

The sums were small - about £10-15 - but the outrage wasn't. I've closed that account, and the bank credited me with £25 for the 'inconvenience and distress'.

My PayPal experiment is history.

Paypal started putting money in my bank when transferred without waiting 3 days...cool!
I trust paypal and have used it many many times without a problem
