"Hard to say if this is a pub with books or a bookshop with beer. In a side-alley, up a flight of stairs to a former maritime store loft with rafters, previously the Working Men's Club. The interior is spacious with wooden floors throughout. One half is the bar with many real ales and ciders. The other half has second-hand and remaindered books, displayed in bookshop-style. Tables and chairs are scattered throughout, so you can drink or browse or do both. Posters and old photographs decorate the walls. No food, but you may bring your own. "
