Save on laundry bills and/or detergent and water use. Wear no clothes. Seems to work for Germans in the Med.

Quite agree - a useful tip is to purchase wet wipes - no water, refreshing and do the job.

Store open packs in sealable plastic zip bags. (Also generally if you keep a pack in the car)

Another way to keep down marina costs is using short stay offers. Dun Laoghaire charges 5 euro for 6 hours, enough for a shower, water and a good battery charge and a jaunt around Dublin. That's the best deal I've found but there are plenty charging less than a tenner.

Yes we chose Carrickfergus when entering Belfast lough in 2012 because they had a 2 for 1 offer, but in all honesty that's the only one other than Yarmouth (IOW) that I've come across.

I simply cannot fathom why anyone would want to drink cheap beer!

Sagres and Super Bock, superb Portuguese lager, cheap as chips and even cheaper in Lidl in Portugal!

Pressure cooker, folding bike, Aldi and Lidl finder apps for Android... dried milk... (remember that?) Lots of nice cheap filled Camping Gaz cylinders.... Last year, an entire electronic set of the Flashman novels- bliss!

We do get long life almond milk and filtered semi skimmed cow's milk which keeps a lot longer than ordinary semi skimmed milk.
