Tinted Acrylic Sheet

Looking for recommendations for suppliers of 8mm or 10mm thick tinted acrylic sheet for a fly bridge windscreen. I need a piece approx 3000mm x 500mm .
Thanks in advance.

If you are matching existing acrylic be aware that there are many shades of tinting - and what looks correct or acceptable in a 4mm sample might look very dark in 10mm. I think you imply that the dimensions you quote are for a piece you would cut yourself. As you have found a piece that size is not cheap and I would make a former, or give the supplier the frame, and have them cut to the exact size. if they do the cutting they will also bevel and or polish the edges, or whatever is needed for the edges.

You can bend 10mm acrylic - if you desire, but not by very much.

There are specialty sealants/adhesives for acrylic, Sika supply, as do 3M (and I assume the people who make CT1)

If you need to use adhesives - the piece you are talking about is quite big, and it will be heavy, I'd suggest its a 2 person installation - and again if you are using adhesives I think you will need to abrade the edges, to achieve good adhesion.

Unless you get advice on this thread about installation - start a new thread - you do not wan to get it wrong!
