Well I had a preseason run from the slipway to the boat. Over the measured distance an average of 27mph recorded for the couples race. Vix and I. I reckon I can add near 10 to that solo. So get speed recordings fellas and set your handicaps. Last one in gets the rounds in.

You're on! Manno el manno. May the craven forfeit a evening sesh at Garddfon Inn. I'll rope in CJ for that too. (He holed his hull on a log so will be ever so ginger on the repairs ? ? ?)

Dust off your wetsuit / dry suit you'll need it. ??
At least the Garddfon has some decent ales, even if I'm buying!

Our 15hp wont leave the garage this year. Too heavy. Need a bigger boat!
 
I put a 200hp 2 stoke on the back of my tinny... now that was crazy scary but also crazy exhilarating fun..Boat power wheelys at 50 knts ! the only thing quicker ive experienced is a tesla !

15 shouldnt be too heavy for your dink? What's this? An early capitulation? ? ? Beers on you then.

Your dink is lighter and longer, it may not handle like a solid hull in the turn but should still have plenty legs to keep the pace on the straight.

My ali deck with an 8 hp was only about 4 knts slower than CJ's Avon Rib on a 15hp motor

Not the honwave but Jenny Lynn.

We can use the 15, but it can't get it aboard mothership, so it's all a bit pointless at the minute.
 
I have a solution. I have spare davits. including an engine hoist. All you need is an engine strap. So happens I have a spare one of those too.

Yes, that is a workable solution and thanks for the offer.
We are not sure what we are doing this season just yet. First job up is sorting the windscreen (permanently). So depending on the time that takes depends on what else becomes possible.

Doubt we will be operational or wet much before June.

Forget tinnie racing that's just a bonus. You need a half decent tender you can trust. I also have not just the davits LBRodders needs but the davits you need as spares. Hurley. You just need the clip on / off rails. (Dont ask me how I ended up with so many davits I am a compulsive buyer and hoarder)

Ya! Well I always have a plan. Meanwhile two years on you're still fannying about with a broken windscreen delaying entry into the water. You could do with more Steptoe about you :p
