I have unearthed from the back of my shed an unused roll of what I think may be ectrical tinned 3 core cable. Looks as though it would be ideal for rewiring on boats /yachts. Pm for a sample piece by post for the cost of a 1st class stamp.

The copper is coated in tin, it helps prevent corrosion and helps to ensure a better connection. In a marine environment the copper can corrode and cause a bad connection. Marine wire is tinned throughout the whole length.

When you solder any wire you should "tin" the end of the wire before soldering, by simply soldering the wire on it's own and solder coating the copper, then solder the joint.
