As I was rowing out to the mooring the other day, to do a bit of maintenance, SWMBO handed me a large bag of tinned food to stow on board. While unpacking it I was surprised and delighted to find that it included a Fray Bentos pie. I don't think she knows of their almost legendary status on here. Is she trying to tell me something?

Obvious really, she has decided that you are doing all the cooking from now on, mainly on account of how she would rather get tanned in Greece, than grub about in brown UK waters. The hint is heavy handed and clear! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I believe that now as I'm in the company of carring, understanding types I can reveal all, I can come out!!!!

On our trip to Cork we had.......

Two FRAY BENTOS pies, between the four of us!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The act took place well off shore, out of sight of any one who may not of fully understand.

Wheeeew! that feels better, now you all know.

Wuss! A real paassagemaking crew devour one apiece with the tin of potatoes, and the tin of peas shoved in under the lid (which is moved to one side with a knife).

Of course I dont allow that sort of thing except on special occasions. Here is a picture of our Ostend based FB meal, which was prepared because it christened the new boat as the FIRST proper cooked meal on board. We have reverted to our more normal fresh fare again now.

With worcester sauce and a glass or three of vin rouge - perfect. Jamie Oliver could learn a trick or two from you lot

I think it means she has urgent business with the milkman and can't be bothered to brush your hat/cook for you/iron for you any more. You do have a hat, don't you?
