Tinkerbell's Leaving Weekend Bash! 6th and 7th April

Some of you may be aware Treecle and I will be setting off on our big adventure next month. Initial plans are to set off through the French canals and do some sunny boating in the Med, then see where we fancy going after that when the time comes.

As we're leaving for a couple of years, we've decided to have a leaving bash over the weekend of the 6th and 7th of April. It'll be an open event where we'll be sticking around the boat between 10am and 4pm on both dates. Anyone who wishes to come along and wish us well is obviously welcome and we will lay on drinks, brownies and we can probably muster up some bacon butties if people fancy them.

In the evening we're planning to head to the Old Ship for dinner.

For those of you that are unaware, Tinkerbell's berth is C22 at Universal Marina in the Hamble. Everyone is welcome to come have a peek, even if we haven't met before!

If you would like to come either during the day or to the dinner, or both, it would be helpful if you could let us know either by PM or replying to this thread so we can have an idea of numbers and can book a table for dinner.

After a rather busy weekend we have finally dispatched all our guests and have had a chance to catch our breath!
There was a very good turnout with a mixture of boaters, random friends and family turning up to wish us well on our trip. At times I was concerned we would sink at our mooring!

Thank you to all who made the trip over to see us (or are you just making sure we're leaving?? ) and to wish us well. Thank you also to all those who couldn't make it but wished us well none the less!

Thanks also to those who came along for dinner. Apologies for leaving relatively early but Tree and I hit a wall and needed sleep after a long day! I guess that's what happens when one gets to be as old as we are!

To those of you who may be wondering... No, we haven't actually left, yet! Our estimated departure date is the 17th April, still a few more days of preparation, sorting and panicking to go!
