Hi All
I had an operation 3rd january total knee replacment port and starboard boat in Lagos Algarve at present walking short distance without crutches or stick.
Anyone have similar and if so when do you think I will be fit to return to my boat to sail into the med its a motor boat displacment and I am age 64.

You have my sympathy, knees seem to be a particularly sensitive part of the body and anything to do with them takes ages to heal.
Consider having your boat transported to the Med where you will have the advantage of no tides therefore easier on and off. Also well tipped marina staff will do everything for you, just call up as you enter and let them do the work.
So in summary, go for it now and enjoy the summer

Hi david
Thanks for simpathy as I am only 150 miles from gib hope to get into med this year boat not too bad stability wise heavy 25 tonne was hoping someone with similar operation might be able to tell me how mobile i would be in say 2 months time.
If it appears too difficult I will book winter in Lagos its very nice here good food and cheap wine .
