Timothy Spall : Somewhere at Sea

BBC 4 yesterday 7:35pm and then again for 2 more weeks. I thought it was a nice gentle programme very watchable . Shows the Actor and his wife's trip around Britain in a Dutch Barge. The barge was rolling a fair bit in quite modest seas of Fowey, he is attempting around the Lizard next week, should be interesting.

Agree, it is an enjoyable programme. Looking forward to seeing Timothy's next trip.

Yep, its good tele, although a repeat I will watch the next two again.
Just happened to be in the Swellies when they went through from Pwllheli.
Timothy's eyes were on stalks but He timed it right fair play!

Sounds like a repeat from about a year ago. He ended up in Cardiff, following a disagreement with the lock at Watchet.

Nice prog. He came across as a really genuine guy, enjoyed his boating, and took it seriously. Interesting choice of boat for a coastal cruise, and had to be careful with the weather.

Yes it's good. I hope he doesn't claim to have circumnavigated the whole of the British Isles though, he missed Anglesey out for a start.
