Just wondering who has been watching this and what their thoughts were...... Also thought I'd post in case some had missed it (it's on iplayer) as I must say I'm finding it a real delight.

Is this series 2 your on about where he left the boat up at Scotland for the winter, or a different one?
I know there was talk of them doing a series through Europe, but I haven't heard or seen anything to confirm this rumour.
Like you say, a thoroughly enjoyable boaty programme, and Tim Spall comes across as a top bloke.
Is it being shown on live tv at the moment? if so what day and time? Or is it only on catch up?
It was a good episode, they kind of brush over that he was holed up on the Helford river for weeks, waiting for the weather to turn. They were regulars in our local restaurant and seemed like a very nice couple. As far as I know, the whole lot is a repeat showing of his "almost" circumnavigation which was televised in 20114 or 2015.
A particular episode which sticks in my mind was his transit past Rattray Head. As I was going the other way last year the memory of his "bumpy" transit played nastily on my mind, and in my stomach!!
All in all I thoroughly enjoyed the series, although both times I have missed the south/southwest stretch down-Channel and round Land's End.
Next time maybe!

There's some nice bits on Newlyn and an interesting take on of fuel at St Ives!
Great series![]()
