timing marks on a volvo penta md22

I have been rebuilding a volvo penta md22. I just got my injector pump back and i realized that i have no idea how to set the timing. does anyone know where I can find the timing marks or what my best move going forward would be ?

You should have put locking pins in flywheel and camshaft (and injection pump) before you removed anything. Even so I dont know how you would time the injection pump if it has been returned unlocked

I think you will have to refer to the workshop manual.

Put a 6mm pin thru the hole on the left hand side of the engine bell housing looking from the front and turn till it goes in to the hole in the flywheel. Take the bolt out of the top of the cam housing and put a 6mm pin through that and turn the cam till it drops in the hole there. The pump has an arrow shaped little plate on the side with a bolt holding it in, remove that and turn it till you can lock that with a pin. Now everything is locked in the timing position. Assemble!
