Billy no boat no longer!

Agreed the purchase of Karouise a Cutlass 27 currently in Rice and Coles yard in Burnham.

As I am away most of July I don't take formal ownership until Fri 31st July. The it will be a quick service of sea cocks, engine etc, rig check and GO SAILING ASAP!!

Phew! I have checked, and you can be called Kerouise!

Shall I pack a bag then? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Think I may have been spelling it wrong up to now. It is KAROUISE. That's OK too as a name!

Undecided if I shall stay in the Crouch for the rest of the season or not! When is Burnham week - guess that is when the moorings are in greatest demand. Depends on what B'sea can do for me.

Jim you are most welcome aboard. After all if you hadn't needed something from the chandelry I wouldn't have seen the boat! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Plenty of room on the moorings this year Peter, take your pick.

Burnham Week is 29th August to 5th September.

Would you consider doing the last Saturday Race? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Good shakedown!

If only it didn't clash with Row 4 a reason. Have a RNSA 'Informal Meet' aka a pi$$ up that Saturday and would you know I booked Heybridge Basin. Now what a coincidence.

Combined East Coast Forum and RNSA BBQ on the lockside maybe?

Nathan's post got me thinking....

with apologies to Barry Ryan. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My Karouise is like the stars that please the night
The sun that makes the day, that lights the way
And when that star goes by
I'll hold it in my hands and cry
Her love is mine, my sun will shine
And ev'ry night I'm there I break my heart to please
Karouise, Karouise
You know I'm on my knees - yeah
I said please
You're all I want so hear my prayer

Jim's post got me thinking... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Her keel is fixed sturdy, and not made of tree's
oh to sail 'pon my sweet Karouise.

.. meh, I can't think of any more. Poem fail. Take it away Mr Dew.

Well Done Peter... Look forward to seeing you on the river..If you have urgent need of a "bench" & some tools while you are in Burnham .. Give me a shout..
