Oh dear, I'm now in a quandary! I don't wear socks with sandals or deck shoes. The M&S hat was ordered by my daughter, works for M&S so gets a discount so I will have to wear it, am I going to be in for some abuse?

Personally, I would not be seen dead in one of those and I have worn hats professionally!

I wear a Legionnaires Cap, like a baseball cap with a bit of cloth that covers the neck, keeps the sun off the ears and neck, at cost an amazing £5.00 from an army surplus shop.

I know, I know - some people like 'em, some don't - I prefer a baseball jobbie from Musto as I like the little clip that attaches it to my person so I don't lose it... the Tilley's and their copies always make me too hot when I wear them..... oh, and I look like a plum as well...

This thread has made me laugh, but just FYI, Tilley will replace lost hats if you let them know how it was lost and have an awesome story to tell them. Like you left it up the arse of an elephant. Not sure M&S would be quite so accommodating!!

just bought one having managed to lose two Tilley's over the years. It even has the float in the crown and a velcro pocket to keep things safe.
