(Tideway) Regatta Alert - 12 Sept - Great River Race

Evening all,

Just a gentle reminder that the annual Great River Race is due on the 12th of September down on the Tideway.

The PLA have issued two Notice to Mariners cover the race, one covering the start area where there will be restricted navigation and one at the finish where the river will be CLOSED near Ham House. Both NTMs are HERE.

Good luck to all the competitors and big thanks to the volunteers for making such a special event happen.

River Closure
–
Eel Pie Island to Glover Island
Due to the large number of competitor vessels finishing at Ham Landings the river will be closed to navigation
from the lower end of Eel Pie Island to Glover Island from 1340 until 1630.
This closure will be marked by two Harbour Service Launches with flashing blue lights.
Only vessels officially approved by the Great River Race will be permitted into the closure area.
