'tis the weather I reckon. A strong Northerly funnelling down the North Sea riding the edge of the Tidal Wave down and stopping letting to ebb.

Currently 1.52 m above prediction, here in Woodbridge it is just about LW, but looks more like half tide! Just as well it is heaps on a big spring tide there would be a lot of flooding.
