Certainly looks quite different to the current image on Google Earth. I had never even noticed the canal entrance before when passing that way.

AFAIK it is a drainage channel, with no boat access

Google it , all on there , shame I couldn't do translate on me phone or I might of been able to read the words aswell ....... oh well
