Does it flood up from both ends at once? roughly where would the direction of flow reverse and is it different for the flood and the ebb?
Any bits where the flow needs watching? Thanks. ( my east coast rivers book is in a box somewhere, I will dig it out before I go.)

It's described in ECP in the 'Swale' chapter.
Basically it floods from each end, starting in the East Swale before the Medway end, the meeting point gradually moving east from about Elmley to about Conyer Creek. Ebb all goes east intially, then splits after about an hour and then ebbs from both ends. Varies, sometimes greatly, from day to day according to weather conditions and tidal range.
