Tide heights and launching from trailer

Another slip that's not been covered is Rockley Park. Quite a shallow slip and not tons of parking but looked OK last timeI was down there.

If I recall it was about £30 for launching and car park but better than Baiters for parking and crowdedness.

Mind you for the extra £18 I'd go to Cobbs. They do dry stacking there but don't launch from trailers using the fork lift. You have to use their, very well set up, slip.

I keep my boat at Rockley (Dry stack) and can confirm that the slip is useable at all states of the tide although you will not get out of Rockley Channel for around 1.5 hours either side of mls. Neaps are ok and you can just get out. Downsides of this slip are no parking in summer unless your really early. It is at the wrong end of the harbour, you will have to steam for 1/2 hour at 10 knots to the Harbour entrance. That said if you were using the ski area in the harbour its then at right end.

Davis's boatyard slip is very steep but useable. The yard never use to allow the slip to be used in the winter months due to boats being stored ashore and the lack of parking at that time of year. Both Davis's and Cobb's are a bit of a trundle to the harbour entrance with a 6 knot speed limit within holes bay and the quay area then 10 knots to the harbour entrance
