Tide flow in the channel

Am I right in thinking that if the tide in coming IN at Dover, it is flowing NE up the channel from the Solent?

My rule of thumb is if the tide is coming in then the flow is Eastbound, if it is going out then it is Westbound. So yes. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
