Tidal streams in Swansea bay

Reed suggests anticlockwise 9.5 hours from Swansea HW -3.5 to +6. Imray digital chart has other ideas. Can anyone help on this please?

Thats how I have always understood the tidalcurrent to do.

But I have never really noticed much of a tidal current until you get out of the bay into the channel.

Thanks for the replies. I was conisdering using the Nash passage and it seems that as you exit this you might get a helping hand from tidal streams.
