Anywhere I can get the neap and spring tidal ranges online? Doing a calculation at home, almanac on the boat.

Failing a generic web site, can anyone give me neap and spring ranges for Oban?

Yes, I should know for my home port!

Go to Puffin Dive Centre on line, and all will be revealed.

A quick shufti through Laver's suggests 2,8m springs, 1.5m neaps.

By happy coincidence I am currently tied up in the marina on Kerrera, which on an hour's experience seems like a nice place. Is the food here any good?

According to my 1990 Martin Lawrence, the numbers are:
MHWS 4.0
MHWN 2.9
MTL 2.4
MLWN 1.8
MLWS 0.7

So different answers from Lavers (what's that?) and I don't think you can get what you wanted readily from Easytide or the Puffin tide tables.

Lavers is the wee booklet timetables that are available in chandlers for about £2 or so

The wee booklet is, I think, published by the Oban Times, and appears with all sorts of different covers. Many are given out as advertising freebies by businesses. Puffin have it online.

My favourite is on BBC website, takes a bit of finding perhaps type in tides on their site. It displays tidal curves but has a handy cursor that shows time and tide at a slide of finger.

Yes, once bookmarked its quick and easy, with all the nearby places listed.

Jolly good. I was only planning a night, but it looks as if I need to be on-line and in phone range on Wednesday morning, so dinner here tomorrow night looks like a good idea.

Im back home Friday, boat prep Sat, Sun,Mon then depart Tuesday for a wee yott about. I'll PM you and hopefully we can meet up.

Edit, Well, I would if your inbox wasn't overflowing all over the Internet...
