Tidal curve \'stationery\'

Are there any suppliers of stationery that have standard port tidal curves printed on them. I'd like to be able to pre-prepare some sheets (with hi/lo lines etc.) for each day of my cruises so that I don't have to bother on the boat each day. I realise that I could have chopped the curves out of last year's almanac and scanned them (and could then blow them up to A4 too) but I've only just thought of that - doh!

Not especially looking for reusable stuff, but that might be nice I suppose. It just seems like someone might have printed a pad of, say, Walton curves, or Sheerness curves etc that I could buy...

Re: Tidal curve \'stationery\'

There are curves for Plymouth, Dartmouth & Falmouth on the website below. I know they won't suit you but may interest SW sailors.
They are encapsulated with a matt encapsulation so take a 2B pencil and can be erased.

Do you mean like this?

This came off my excellent Belfield Tide Plotter. In reality they come out better than this so you can read the times - a bit squashed up ona small pic. You can print them off for 300 ports for three years if you feel like it. Brilliant - can be downloaded for a modest fee from their website.

I could email you a couple of weeks worth if you like.

a useful program is wxtide32 free from http://wxtide32.com

With this you can plan well in advance - up to 2037 no less.

No connection with them, have simply found it useful especially planning ahead where tidal information is difficult to get for more than a year ahead.

Thanks for the replies so far (and your kind offer)...

I was looking for something like the standard port curves you find in Reeds NA - like this (as found on cockpitcards.co.uk) but for the East Coast.

I'll check out Belfield though as it looks useful.

Re: Tidal curve \'stationery\'

Thanks I already use that for tidal info. What I was really looking for is the standard port 'bell' curves that I find useful for secondary port calculations.

Re: Tidal curve \'stationery\'

I've tried scanning them. Reeds is such a thick almanac that it's hard to get the page flat enough.. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I should have chopped the pages out of last year's but I never thought about it and it is no more...

I'll keep trying.

Re: Tidal curve \'stationery\'

It takes some effort but once folded flat you can scan the page from Reeds either on a straight photocopier or to a computer. The prints are very useful. I slide them into a sealed A4 display bag and they are easy to read in the cockpit, even when bouncing around the Wallet. The encapsulated ones are OK but I found the water soluble ink didn't help Doh!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Then tried chinagraph pencil but sat on the thing and wiped it clean Double Doh!! Now just use the photocopy in bag.
