Have any of you lot used one either with or without the omni directional antenna? If yes then opinions - pro's and cons.

Heya - are you talking about the bgan devices ? Or something other?

I spoke with one fellow about the Nera Worldpro. He said that its got a very narrow beam something like 30% and that the danger I faced would be continual dropping out if the boat was rolling. What system are you using and do you get this problem on it? His suggestion was to get the omni directional antenna which unfortunately was only avail on the Thuraya as they hadnt yet bought out an omni antenna for bgan systems.

Are you using yours for broadband ? If yes can I be so rude as to ask what plan your on - cost - pro's cons etc.

I'm trolling around to find a solution that allows me to work from the boat - supplemented by onshore wireless when available. Any suggestions?
