Hi All,

I have two of these through which the radar signal cable descends and ascends through the deck.

can anyone suggest where I might get replacement rubber glands/grommets to fit?

Unlikely to find any direct replacements. That style is rarely used now as there are much better products on the market.

self amalgam tape (Cannot remember its correct spelling) make a good seal if allowed to cure before tightening then Finnish off with a few turns when complete .

Any recommendations? I've found some plastic ones online quite reasonably priced. Ideally I'd like something not too difficult to remove and reseal: the radar cable (which can't be cut) has to be removed every time the mast is taken down, and if I want to use those French rivers and canals a tempting 14 NM away...

Index Marine make a range of glands suitable for this application. Available from just about all chandlers.

Those a very similar to the (cheaper) Index Marine ones I suggested above, which are available in a wider range of sizes.

Been looking at both, but your post gave me reason to have another look at fleabay this morning, and low and behold there was an Index Marine one for reasonable money, that is now on its way to me.. thanks! :encouragement:
