Three-day flash sale on MBY subs - 50% off. HEADS UP!

Funnily enough I've just bought one of these:

https://oneplus.net/uk

After iOS, Android is a proper breath of fresh air. I have just so had enough of Apple's 'our way or no way' approach to their users.

I agree! I gave up when I recently tried to buy MBY on my first generation Ipad only to find out that Apple are no longer supporting it with upgrades.
I voted with my feet and bought a Samsung tablet and I'm very happy with it.

You can buy on Android via Zinio - the plus side is you can also view on a bigger screen as & when required. I used to subscribe to MBM on Zinio and would probably do a paper sub if Andriod/Zinio was free with it. My experience with postal magazines is somewhere around 1 in 10 never arrive - more post office than publisher I'm sure, but at least a paper+free digital gets around this. (Not tempting enough to move to a iPhone/iPad however - having tried one, not even a years free boat fuel could achieve that!)

Jack, I'm sure that's interesting for non subscribers but what about all those existing subscribers who've been buying your rag for years, or in my case decades? What do we get for Christmas, particularly since some people like me re-subscribed about a month ago at the top dollar rate? First rule of business is take most care of your existing customers:(

Was just thinking the same. Didn't MBM do the same shortly before their demise? Maybe you'll end up with a sub to PBO. :D

Yeah but if those existing customers weren't so distracted by the possibility of oggling some MCN-sponsored eye-candy at the NEC next week, they'd have realised that all they have to do is buy a new sub using this promo, and then ping an email off to the subs dept quoting their existing subscriber number so that the nice people in subs can just add the new subscription on to the existing one.

At least, that's what I did... :D

Didn't think of that. A cunning stunt

I have just subscribed to MBY on Zinio and was very happy to then receice a code for a further £8 off my next purchase which I then used to buy an issue of Boat International, which I had never read before!

I've just taken a look at that - what a piece of kit!

Small enough for pocket (just) almost big enough to replace a tablet!

Do you know what the camera is like yet?

I might be tempted by one of these - how did you get your "invite to buy"?

We are going to give you plenty of warning this time!

From 9am tomorrow (21/11/14) there will be 50% subs to MBY over the weekend, finishing on Sunday evening at midnight (23/11/14).

Here is a news story with more details: http://www.mby.com/advertising/cut-price-mby-subscriptions-weekend-flash-sale/

Check mby.com tomorrow for the links to the offers.

Cheers,

Jack

Yep I've ordered the printed version with a free copy of digital one! I'm not sure when I will get the digital one?

Great to hear, thanks. When your first print issue arrives, the top sheet included in the package will have details of you digital sub. You can then sign in online and activate the first issue.

Cheers,

Jack

Yep - my thinking is that this will replace my ipad mini.

Ref the invite - I had to buy it, on ebay.

Camera specs are ok, but I've read a review that suggests that an separate camera app (rather than the bundled cyanogen mod camera app) gets better results. Haven't tried this yet but it's on my list.
