Three-day flash sale on MBY subs - 50% off. HEADS UP!

... then again, maybe I'm not: the 50% off only applies to iphone/ipad-only subscriptions, not to the printed magazine. Meh.

It looks like the print version, plus an iPad trial?

Hi K, yep, but if you actually follow the links through you don't actually get a 50% offer.

Are you seriously telling me that you STILL do not offer digital print for Android, only for iOS? Somebody needs to really kick somebody's backside hard and get them into gear.

Ah, but... the Apple users have devices with large screens, workable keyboards and excellent battery life, plus their phones don't break when you drop them - so they're the better target for digital print. Oh, hang on, I've got that the wrong way around :)

Funnily enough I've just bought one of these:

After iOS, Android is a proper breath of fresh air. I have just so had enough of Apple's 'our way or no way' approach to their users.

Made the same move 2 or 3 years ago. iPad has gone too, replaced with Sony Z2. Relief to have a device I can use as I want to use it. Have you noticed you can actually navigate the storage and see where things are? You can also pretty much share between any app with any other, choosing your own workflows.

I had someone the other day showing me how Apple have invented this brilliant new keyboard, where you swipe you finger over letters to make words, shows how far ahead Apple is. When I said I'd had better versions years earlier and Apple were playing catch up I was disbelieved. Got to love the marketing ability of that business, they're believers not consumers.

You can buy all our titles on all devices however the "free" access which we can only call a trail is only available on ios, that is out of our control I am afraid.

Looks like a nice piece of kit. Is it as good a device as the sales pitch would have one believe?

So far, I'm completely impressed although in fairness I haven't done a huge amount with it. But - good hardware specs, good display, good battery life, good form factor, cheap. What's not to like?
