From an earlier post - I printed the book and have read half of it. I thought I knew a lot about yachts, rigging, maintenance etc., but now I know a lot more.
There are so many useful tips that I thoroughly recommend everyone to read it.

Meanwhile can anyone tell me where I can buy 'anhydrous
lanolin´ ? (recommended lubricant for turnbuckles, hatch slides, sail slides etc., apparently lasts for ages - or is there a better more modern product? )

Google anhydrous lanolin and there is a place that sells 'health foods' (I think) that sell it, which is where I got mine but I can't remember the name. Chemists no longer sell it. Or buy LANACOTE which is the product sold in chandleries for the same purposr.
Found it - G Baldwin & Co. 171-172 Walworth Road, London, SE17 1RW Tel 020 7703 5550 but mines very old and not sure if they are still around.
 
What Book? Sounds like Brion Toss, Riggers Apprentice?

Can this, or any other book on rigging be down loaded?

I am rebuilding the rig on Talisman, out 1890 Gaff Schooner and any help is welcome.

As a second thought Lanolin can be bought from almost any chemist. Used for preventing nappy rash.
Used it for three years on Talsiman, fantastiuc stuff.

Any local chemist will be able to supply, although you may have to order it.
It is used as a base in many cosmetics and unctions but chemists no longer make their own in-house.
