Wrong way round. We should enter a British team and stop the regions of Scotland Wales and NI entering their local teams (which have no chance anyway). Then there's no problem about anthems - there is only one national anthem anyway./forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
.... and our lot! My condolences are extended and I hope the drowning of the sorrows didn't kill too many brain cells
England put on another "poor" performance and the final scoreline I thought was a bit flattering but we're playing badly and winning.
Not trying to take anything away from the Samoans, they played a great game and for the first half they would have had the lead even if England were on form, if there are any Samoans on the board: congratulations on a great game of rugby. Put in the same effort against South Africa, you'll be in the quarters at least. (Have any of your players trained with the WWF?
Just hoping that the boys are getting rid of all the mistakes now so there are none left to be made against the various flavours of sheep abusers we still have to play

There are the Bristish & Irish Lions (the & Irish seems to be a recent addition to the name) but it's only a touring team. If there were a British team, as opposed to a British & Irish team) we would only have France, Ireland & Italy to play against on a regular basis and it would probably be very one-sided (it already is w.r.t. Italy) leading to a reduction in the entertainment offered by a good close game (OK add Romania & Georgia if you want but look at what happened in the RWC)
In football (or pouffball if you prefer) it would seem to make sense for the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland teams to combine especially with respect to the poor performance in qualifying fo the European Championship next year.
If Rugby were added to the olympics there could be some development of a GBR team but it hasn't happened with footbal yet AFAIK?
