This recording was made about 2 years ago, it was used by members of the Benneton F1 team to take the piss out of their new Renault engine, it was played on speakers in their pit garage to while away the long nights.
At that time the engine was down on power and kept blowing up, it couldn't stand the pace, so the analogy is of a baby engine struggling to keep up.
 
..and later uses

Just before last year's British Grand Prix. Our (former) CMO subsidised/sponsored a F3 team. At British Grand Prix , group of us in 'The Complex' at Silverstone hospitality.
F3 curtain opener takes off( we can't see start).. End of fisrt lap, all cars go past, where are our new colours? Not to be seen

20 secs later, putt...puttt...putt..you've guessed it our car/engine is limping along.

Following morning by 8 am video and stills of that event on circulation throughout company, accompanied by this soundtrack !!!

What ? ME???? !!!!

...I wanna boat please..
