I hope I'm not posting too much but beleive this is worth it's own thread. I have looked at the forecast and have chosen to stay on my boat on Sunday night. It will only get to minus 4 degs and will fit with family arrangements. Actually I know the sleeping bag etc is fine to zero but may have to add a layer or two for -4, (no heating on board). And the wind will only be about 11 mph albeit easterly. Plus some sun in the afternoon!

Anybody else braving it this w.e?

Yes sans swmbo

I spent the last couple of weeks on the boat. But I was in the marina with a fan heater on most of the time :-)

Hope to get out on the boat at some point this weekend if the river lets me!

I would be happy to be able to step onto mine . The water level has been so high ive been trying to stick my licence on for the last three months .

After much huffing and puffing and expense, we are nearly ready to go on a proper cruise! (Just that Calorifier leak to do...)

The river says otherwise :p

However, looking forward to plenty of splendid company this weekend, Drinks and Chinese with friends aboard on Friday, Club Cruise (by CAR! LOL) on Saturday, and Clubhouse social on Sunday!

Wahaay....

My She

Your galley is fab. I'll post a pic of mine when I get there and you will laugh. But ducks know nothing about boats and posh galleys cos I have a similar visitor at mine.

By the way, Tesco are selling a quite good fleecy sleeping bag liner for £9 if anybody else needs one.

Arrived at my little boat this morning and had a general clean-up. Had the first trip of this year and moored at the pub. Wife and son met me for lunch then she went shopping and bouy (sic) and I went for a boat trip. Have been careful to not push boating on to son. Have been thinking he didn't like it much. He liked it today when given full steering authority - even though he can't see where to go! I tried to post a pic of boy steering but stupid forum stiil says I have exceeded my quotia.

I was fully in charge while he was steering :-)

Bloddy heck it's cold on here. Decided to get in to the sleeping bag at dusk. Then rejected a cooked meal in favor of a bag of mixed nuts. Was concerned that this behaviour was symptomatic with hypothermia. Then remembered had a large lunch in pub.

Just turned Jazz FM off cos Sarah Kennedey was talking carp. Re-assured senses are alert.

The EA Website seems to be out of date again, what are conditions like today, can I move the old girl from old Windsor to Bray? Desperate to get her over and meet the locals..
