This weekend

Heading to Wargrave Friday then UTMYC Saturday. Still can't decide if I want to chance another encounter with St George and Dragon at Wargrave..... May take our own food and eat on boat.

Will keep an eye out for forum members.

After a duff experience foolishly gave it a second chance. Will not be going back until it has sorted out service issues and improves quality of food.

Great weekend. Very quiet Friday and Saturday morning. Busy coming home this afternoon.

Lovely to finally meet miket. I always forget how nice the river above Henley is. Now if Reading could just be moved it would be perfect.

C'mon, what's the matter with Reading? - unless you want to stop, that is.

Locals are rumoured to be unfriendly near the town centre, and the trains are noisy going past Tilehurst, but the scenery is acceptable?

When you compare it with the road that runs on the south side it's heaven.

I can think of places (like Kingston) that are far less pleasant.

Perhaps I've missed something - no pubs to stop at 'twixt Sonning and Pangbourne perhaps

C'mon, what's the matter with Reading?

What's right about it? It is a gap in the river which must be transited in order to get from the Thames to the rest of the Thames.
